Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn (born Jeanne Marie Tripplehorn) is an American actress who is active in both film, television and the theatre. Thespian Jeanne Marie Triplehorn has been working professionally for the last 27 years. She first made an appearance on stage in an off-Broadway production called The Big Funk by John Patrick Shanley in the year 1990. A year later she was offered her first television role, The Perfect Tribute. The year was 1992 and she was announced as a character supporting in Basic Instinct. This was her first major success in her career. For The Firm, she played the leading female character for the first time. She was cast opposite Tom Cruise and Gene Hackman. Through the 1990s, she collaborated alongside some of the most renowned actors in the business, including Gwyneth Paltrow in Sliding Doors, Hugh Grant in Mickey Blue Eyes and Julie Andrews in Relative Values. Recently she played Dr Alex Blake in the internationally well-known crime procedural Criminal Minds.

In September 2012, she was admitted at Louisiana State University for an undergraduate qualification. In the past, she's graduated but what grade she earned from the institution has yet to be discovered. Lexis grew up in an environment of golfers which means she wasn't a stranger to the male-dominated game. The beginning of her golfing career proved to be a huge successful one. She was the first woman in 2007 to qualify for the US Women's Open. In 2007 she wasn't winning the Women's US Open however she did win the Aldila Junior Classic to be the second. The youngest American Junior Golf Association member to ever win the award, she also took home the Westfield Junior PGA Championship in the same year.
